Steve Grant has spent his 20-year career helping Fortune 500 companies and ambitious startups uncover, identify, and apply psychological and behavioral insights at the level of individuals up to whole industries. His career has spanned consumer psychology, behavioral economics, brand strategy, and product development. Steve has worked as a strategist TBWA\Chiat\Day, Euro RSCG, Havas, Droga5, and Horizon Media. Clients have included Bosch, IBM, PwC, Nissan, Infiniti, Prudential, Nestle, Jaguar Cars, Chiquita, GAF, Procter & Gamble, Burger King, and Showtime. At Droga5 he received a Cannes Gold Lion for his work on building a new brand for Prudential.
His success at creative agencies led him to opportunities with brands and academia. He founded Prudential Financial’s Applied Behavioral Science Lab, working with researchers from UCLA Anderson, HBS, and Duke. More recently, Steve worked as an industry fellow at the Aspen Institute, where he was part of a behavioral science team to help create financial security for all Americans. Today, Steve Grant helps lead the strategic integration of branding, marketing, customer experience and transformation for TCS’ CMO clients. His team unleashes the full power of TCS’ creative and technical expertise to power growth for CMOs. Steve is also a Professor of Practice in Consumer Behavior at Virginia Tech’s Pamplin School of Business, and principal at Animal Spirits, a management consultancy delivering branding, growth engineering, and consumer research services.
