Head of Execution Strategy Harris Associates

Katherine Chairez serves as Head of Execution Strategy for Harris Associates, where she is responsible for best execution initiatives across global equities with a focus on algorithmic trading, automation and strategy selection. Prior to joining Harris, Katherine headed Americas Equity Trading as well as Trading Strategy and Analytics for UBS Asset Management. Before that, she spent eleven years on the sell side with Citadel Securities and Goldman Sachs, where she specialized in algorithmic trading strategy. Katherine holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research with a minor in Economics from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science. In 2019, she was named to Crain’s Chicago Business’s 40 Under 40.
